Bear with me for a moment here...

I was walking home from yoga last night, and doing the shuffle thing on the old Ipod, when it played me a live version of The Descendent's song, Cheer. Saves the Day covers with song, and it is actually one of my favorites. Until Ipod played me the Descendents, I didn't even realize it was a cover. I was actually really surprised and excited.

Now, for a second, I thought, "This makes no sense. How could I have not known this was a cover?" As every reasonable person knows, The Descendents have been around since the 80's. Saves the Day, though I couldn't put a year on their debut, even though they have probably 6+ albums, are relatively young guys. I wouldn't think they're much over 30. But I still wondered if it could be possible that The Descendents were covering their song. Logically and chronologically, that would make no sense! I guess I just had it in my head that it was Saves the Day song.

Is anyone reading between the lines here? I'm not doing a very good job at making my point, which is about how sometimes you think of something in a certain way, and then you gather information that counters that, but you still want to think of it the first way. I guess I have to fight that.

In other news, I'm wearing this cute dress that I bought at Old Navy on Monday and it's ripped. Already! what crap.
