I went on my first date since the summer last night. I went to dinner with a young man who I met at a bar in the city. I know the stigma attached to meeting guys in bars, but it was a Sunday afternoon.
So we went to dinner at a trendy restaurant in the East Village. It was m'eh. He was m'eh. A perfectly kind human being, just not for me. So then after having an after dinner drink, he kisses me and says the following:
"Look, Alyssa, I have to be honest.... I have a girlfriend. But I REALLY like you. I would really like to keep my relationship, and have something secret with you on the side. Come on, why not?"
I thanked him for his honesty, and patiently explained how a guy being someone else's boyfriend is like, the biggest turn off possible for me, and headed home feeling nauseated and more lonely than before.

Wow. That wasn't a swingers bar, was it?
Seriously though, some people really like having and eating cake.
