There will be Jonny Greenwood

I went to the 11:50am showing of There Will Be Blood today. It was amazing, the best movie I've seen in a while. It was almost 3 hours long and I didn't get bored or look at the time once. Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano were indescribably awesome. Everyone was great. Everything was great. The characters, the acting, the filming, but one thing stuck out as particularly awesome... the music.

The music in There Will Be Blood was composed by Jonny Greenwood, lead guitarist of Radiohead. I thought I read that wrong when I was reading random facts about the movie earlier, (because it was so good, I couldn't get enough). It was so incredible, the movie surely would not have been the same without it. The song, "Future Market" is especially suspenseful and awesome. I believe it is the soundtrack to the tailer. I had no idea that Jonny Greenwood was such an amazing orchestral composer. Guess it just goes to show that all kinds of people could be capable of all kinds of awesome things.

If you haven't seen this movie, GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW. I am currently listening to the music, and it's just not the same out of context.

Righto, will have to get it seen.

I actually went to the performance of Popcorn Superhet Receiver last week - I liked it a lot, he was definitely trying to make new sounds with a traditional setup.
